For my little man

My husband and I are preparing to welcome our first child - a boy. He is due to arrive around Nov 3 and we are extremely excited!

I have finished the quilt top for his nursery, now I just need to get busy quilting it! The nursery theme is Tigger, but I chose to keep Tigger out of the bedding. The color scheme is orange, yellow and green. I have lots of Tiggers to set around the room for decor.

I decided to temporarily close my etsy store while I work on items for my little man. But if someone out there needs a personalized burp cloth, just let me know!

A great way to begin 2010!

Well it finally happened - I had my first sale on Etsy!! Then about a week later I had another sale. This is a fabulous start to 2010. I hope I can keep it up. I need to add more stuff out there so people have more choices.

Not so good at this blog thing...

Well, it's hard to find time to post or think of what to post on here. I have finally added more items to my Etsy store: http://scrapnsew.etsy.com/. Please check them out and let me know what you think. I really want to get my Etsy store off the ground and running, so I need lots of feedback and support.

Thanks!

Quilt For Sale

I'm selling this quilt in my Etsy shop. The pattern is Yellow Brick Road. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. The size is approximately 52" x 70", which is the size of a lap quilt.

This would make a great gift for a college girl or even a young girl still at home. It feels great to wrap up in a quilt while watching a movie and this quilt is perfect for that!

The price for this quilt is $95 plus shipping.

Craft Show Items

Back in November I had my first craft show booth. The craft show was at my work and it was really small - only a 2 hr show. It was right before Christmas, so it was a great time.

I made quilted table runners to sell. Here are a couple pictures:

I also made travel sewing bags:

The craft show was a great success. The next craft show I did... not so much... It was right when Swine Flu hit North Alabama & tornado warnings were a daily occurance... Oh, well... I hope to participate in more craft shows soon.
